The historic city hotel in the heart of Brixen
Over 350 years of history and hospitality: this is Hotel Tallero. It was right here at Via Mercato Vecchio 35, that in 1659 Melchior Thaler bought a small inn situated in the historic centre of Bressanone. Thanks to his enthusiasm, the Thalerwirt immediately earned a notable name, becoming the most frequented restaurant with skittles in the area.
The magic of the days of old, the refined architecture, its position in the heart of the city, and the short distance from nature, still today make Hotel Tallero stand out above the rest. And the owners, the Girardi family, continue to build on three and a half centuries of guest service.

It was here in the historic centre that Melchior Thaler bought a small inn back in 1659. The times were good and thanks to the innkeeper’s enthusiasm, the Thalerwirt soon became the most popular inn with skittles in the area. The name Thaler, the magic of bygone days, as well as its position in the historic centre and traditional hospitality, make the Hotel Tallero still today second to none.
And the owners, Barbara e Alex Girardi, affirm with passion: “We will make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive!”
